My grandmother used to take me to mushrooms as a child. From her I learnt secrets and tricks. In fact, a true mushroom hunter does not rely on luck, but on knowledge. Going mushrooming means studying the forest and learning about it.  

 

One day I was telling all this to my four-year-old cousin when I got the idea: to invent fairy tales explaining the origin of each mushroom. 

 

The first epiosode is about the difference between Porcino and Amanita 

Muscaria and tells why, although one is edible and the other is not, they always grow next to each other.

 

The filming took place in the eye of the Vaia cyclone: one of the biggest storms to hit northern Italy in the last ten years. 

 

And we were there. Like madmen. Filming.

But we were all alive. And once again, passion won out.
