Six guys,
three invitations,
one
dark past from which they can no longer
they can no longer escape
Shooting it was complicated but all the postproduction was
even more so. In fact, it lasted a full four years.
The type of narrative that showed the same 12 hours through four different points of view dictated the fact that if some scenes in the first episode changed, then the others had to be changed as well.
We also learned the importance of audio, which is often underestimated in an audiovisual. Sound effects, dubbing, ambience, the more we worked on it the more immersive and incredible the scenes became. This became a hallmark of mine.
THE PROJECT
I was a senior in high school and many FaiUAO members were beginning to think about college. We wanted to
do one last project together. My mother works in a kindergarten and I always found that place very creepy-the perfect setting for a Thriller.
A few days before the prom an image had appeared in my mind: six smartly dressed boys in the half-light turning toward the camera. From there it all came together.
The challenge here was to make a series: eight episodes, where the first four narrate the same 12 hours from four different points of view.
It was the most complicated project I have ever done.
